Senior .NET Developer - up to £70,000 + benefits - Manchester based, hybrid

For years, this platform has grown.

New features were added, more millions of customers came on board, integrations increased and the system became bigger and more complex.

Now the engineering challenge has changed.

The team is taking a large monolithic application and gradually breaking it down into a more modern, scalable microservices architecture.

That is where you come in.

You’ll help decide how parts of the existing platform should be separated, rebuilt and improved, then help create the new services that replace them.

And this isn’t just a legacy transformation project.

As the platform evolves, there is also a growing pipeline of greenfield work, giving you the chance to build new services and applications from scratch rather than spending all your time untangling old code.

• Microservices and distributed systems
• APIs and integrations
• Messaging and event-driven architecture
• SQL and NoSQL databases
• Performance and reliability
• Testing and CI/CD

They’re looking for someone with strong C#/.NET fundamentals, good architectural judgement and the ability to understand complex systems.

As a Senior Engineer, you’ll also help mentor and support other developers within the team.

This role should suit someone who likes the challenge of taking something large and established, understanding how it works, improving it piece by piece, and then helping build what comes next.
