Overview

In this role you drive strategic, data-informed marketing for Haymarket’s Live Events portfolio, shaping multi-channel campaigns that grow audiences, registrations and revenue. You will partner with senior stakeholders across Commercial, Editorial and Events to set objectives, allocate budgets and guide a high-performing marketing team. You’ll leverage audience insight and trends to unlock growth opportunities and improve campaign performance.

The role offers exposure to market-leading events and brands, with a clear impact on commercial success and audience engagement.

Responsibilities
  • Lead development and execution of integrated marketing strategies for conferences, awards and forums
  • Set clear objectives, KPIs and priorities aligned with business goals
  • Oversee multi-channel campaigns (email, social, websites, ads, partnerships)
  • Analyze performance and insights to guide recommendations
  • Collaborate with Commercial stakeholders to support delegate acquisition, sponsorships and revenue
  • Manage marketing budgets and resources across portfolios
  • Utilize customer data, segmentation and CRM to target campaigns
  • Oversee event websites and digital customer journeys to boost engagement and conversions
  • Identify new channels and approaches to enhance audience engagement
  • Build relationships with senior stakeholders across Commercial, Editorial, Events, Design, Data and Brand
  • Manage relationships with agencies, suppliers and partners to meet objectives
  • Direct and develop Marketing Managers and junior staff
  • Participate in resource planning to ensure capability and capacity
  • Contribute to broader Live Events marketing strategy and company KPIs
  • Attend live events as needed, including evenings for delivery
Key requirements
  • Extensive knowledge of marketing principles and integrated campaign strategy
  • Strong digital marketing, data-led marketing and audience segmentation understanding
  • Experience with CRM, data analysis and campaign performance evaluation
  • Experience in event marketing, B2B media, publishing or related environments
  • Commercial awareness linking audience growth to revenue
  • Knowledge of GDPR and responsible data use
  • Budget management and resource allocation understanding
  • Excellent communication with senior stakeholders
  • Strategic thinking and ability to translate objectives into marketing plans
  • Leadership and people development experience
  • Proficiency with marketing platforms, CRM systems and analytics tools
