Accountant

This role is ideal for someone who wants to make an impact and have exposure to a breadth of experience which comes from being involved in a dynamic and agile company. We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to manage financial records, reporting, and analysis for the business.

This role requires strong organizational skills, a solid understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to work efficiently with both financial data and stakeholders across the company. Focused on providing financial assistance and insights to Accelagen management and providing broad support into other areas of the business.

Key responsibilities

Manage accounts payable or receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections

Daily data entry, allocation and reconciliation of client expenses

General management accounting including reconciliations of balance sheet accounts

Leverage software automation to streamline accounting processes

Analysis and reporting of month end results

Support of monthly/quarterly BAS

Assisting with the preparation and coding of manual invoices

Preparing expense and credit card expense claims

Vendor set up and administration

Other accounting & finance related tasks as needed

About you

CA or CPA qualified

Strong accounting background and qualitative expertise

Knowledge of accounting ERP systems, NetSuite preferred

Advanced Excel skills

Good understanding of accounting standards

Experience working within a commercial environment with broad accounting expertise

Self-starter with good written and verbal communication skills

Team player with proactive, solutions focused approach

Natural problem solver with high attention to detail

Organised and methodical approach to work
