About the Role

Reporting to the Finance Manager, this role is responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the company's financial records. With a strong focus on reconciliations, reporting, accounts receivable and cash flow monitoring, this position is ideal for a detail-oriented finance professional who enjoys analysing data, resolving discrepancies and improving processes. Candidates with audit, assurance or reconciliation-focused experience will be highly regarded.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain monthly General Ledger, Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss and Chart of Accounts reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy.
• Monitor accounts receivable, debtor performance and cash flow, including aged debtor reporting and follow-up of outstanding accounts.
• Assist with month-end reporting, financial analysis and the preparation of management reports for the Finance & Administration Manager and Finance Manager.
• Manage customer invoicing, incoming payments, credit applications, and the maintenance of vendor and customer records within NetSuite.
• Investigate and resolve account discrepancies, working closely with internal stakeholders, customers and suppliers.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying process efficiencies, assisting with system enhancements and contributing to finance projects.
• Provide broader business support across Finance, Payroll and HR functions as required, while maintaining compliance with company policies and departmental KPIs.

About You

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline preferred
• CPA/CA qualification is not required
• Previous experience in an Accountant, Assistant Accountant, Finance Officer, Auditor or similar role
• Strong account reconciliation and problem-solving skills
• Excellent Excel skills, including working with large data sets, formulas and reconciliations
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels
• Experience using ERP systems such as NetSuite (highly regarded)
• A continuous improvement mindset and willingness to streamline processes
• Candidates with audit, assurance or reconciliation-focused backgrounds are strongly encouraged to apply
