Description

We are seeking a skilled, detail-oriented Sprinkler Technician to join our team. Reporting to the Services Manageryou will maintain wet fire protection system compliance, perform field inspections, servicing, fault finding, and repairs, and collaborate with internal teams and clients across commercial and industrial sites.

About the Role:

  • Service & Maintenance: Perform routine servicing, testing, inspections, and repairs on wet fire protection systems (Hydrants, Hose Reels, Sprinklers, Tanks, and Pumps) in accordance with Australian Standards and company procedures.
  • Projects & Upgrades: Undertake commercial fit-out works, minor installations, refurbishments, and system upgrades.
  • System Testing & Diagnostics: Perform flow testing, 5-yearly maintenances, and technical fault finding.
  • Digital Reporting & Compliance: Accurately complete service documentation, defect reports, and maintenance logs using Uptick / CMMS platforms
  • Customer Service: Build strong relationships with clients through professional communication and clear identification of repair/upgrade opportunities.
  • Safety & Quality: Work safely at all times, complete SWMS for high-risk tasks, follow WHSEQ guidelines, and maintain a safe job site.

About You:

  • Technical Foundation: Certificate III or higher in Fire Protection Inspection, with Building and Plumbing Commission (BPC) Registration in relevant classes (Sprinklers, Pump Sets, Hydrants, Hose Reels).
  • Field Experience: Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar fire protection or service technician role across commercial, industrial, or educational environments.
  • Diagnostic Skills: Proven technical fault-finding capabilities across wet fire systems, with practical experience performing 5-yearly valve changeovers and flow testing.
  • Tech Savvy & Safety Minded: Proficiency using maintenance management systems (CMMS/Uptick) and digital service apps, with a strong commitment to WHSEQ standards, SWMS, and safe working practices.
