Registered Nurse

Apsida Life Science is partnering with a global Pharmaceutical company to present the following role:

We are seeking experienced Registered Nurses with a strong background in pediatric patient care, IV cannulation and intravenous infusion administration.

The successful nurse will provide high-quality, patient-centred clinical care to pediatric patients, with particular responsibility for venepuncture, IV cannulation, intravenous medication/infusion administration and ongoing patient monitoring.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced pediatric nurse who is confident working independently and delivering safe clinical care in a patient-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provided high-quality nursing care to pediatric patients in accordance with clinical protocols and professional standards.
• Performed IV cannulation and venipuncture safely and effectively.
• Administered intravenous medications and infusions in accordance with prescribed treatment plans and applicable procedures.
• Assessed patients before, during and after IV administration and monitored for any changes in clinical condition.
• Monitored and recorded vital signs and patient observations as required.
• Identified and appropriately responded to adverse reactions, adverse events or other clinical concerns.
• Maintained accurate and timely clinical documentation and patient records.
• Ensured appropriate infection prevention and control procedures were followed.
• Provided age-appropriate communication and reassurance to pediatric patients and their parents/carers.
• Escalated any clinical concerns to the appropriate physician, study team or healthcare professional.
• Maintained patient confidentiality and complied with applicable healthcare, safety and regulatory requirements.
• Worked independently while maintaining effective communication with the wider clinical team.

Mandatory Requirements

• Registered Nurse with a minimum of 2 years post-registration experience.
• Minimum 2 years' experience performing IV cannulation.
• Minimum 2 years' experience administering intravenous medications/infusions.
• Demonstrable pediatric nursing experience.
• Recent hands-on patient-care experience, preferably within the last 12 months.
• Current professional nursing registration/licensure where required.
• Strong clinical assessment, communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to work safely and independently with pediatric patients.
