ACCOUNTING TECHNICIAN โ€“ CPA FIRM

Our client is a well-established CPA firm located in Laval, led by a partner and recognized for the quality of its client support.

The firm is looking for an experienced accounting technician who seeks a professional, supportive, and flexible environment with long-term career prospects.

THE ROLE

You will be responsible for various accounting tasks for a diverse clientele:

  • Enter and process accounting data in the existing systems;
  • Manage accounts payable and receivables;Prepare bank reconciliations and participate in month-end closing processes;Participate in the preparation of financial statements;Participate in compilation engagements, based on your experience and interest, in collaboration with the firm's CPAs;Prepare GST/QST returns and other government remittances;Monitor accounting and tax deadlines;Collaborate with CPAs and other team members to ensure quality client service;Opportunity to participate in personal income tax returns during tax season;Participate in the continuous improvement of processes and progressively develop your responsibilities based on your experience and interests. interests.

THE DESIRED PROFILE

  • Training in administration, accounting, or a related field;
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant accounting experience, ideally in a firm or professional environment;
  • Excellent command of French, both spoken and written;
  • Functional English, an asset;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office;
  • Knowledge of accounting software such as Sage, QuickBooks, Acomba, or CaseWare, Taxprep, an asset;
  • Rigorous, autonomous, discreet, and excellent organizational skills;
  • Team spirit and excellent communication skills;
  • Professional approach and commitment to customer service clientele.
