Role Title: Senior Quality Engineer II

JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for defining, governing, and continuously improving the quality assurance and testing strategy for Marriott's Identity Governance and Administration (IGA) services. This role serves as the quality authority for SailPoint IdentityIQ capabilities, ensuring that new features, application onboardings, integrations, identity lifecycle processes, access governance controls, certifications, RBAC enhancements, and production changes are validated against business, functional, technical, security, and operational requirements.

The IGA Quality Assurance & Testing Manager partners closely with Product Owners, Architects, Business Analysts, RBAC Analysts, Developers, Operations teams, application stakeholders, and business users to establish testing standards, quality processes, automation strategies, and release validation activities. While initially operating as an individual contributor, this role is expected to provide quality leadership across both the India-based SailPoint delivery pod and the broader US-based IGA service while helping mature Marriott's long-term IGA testing capabilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define, maintain, and govern the quality assurance strategy, testing standards, testing methodologies, and release validation processes for Marriott's Identity Governance and Administration (IGA) services.
  • Serve as the quality lead for the IGA service, establishing testing best practices, quality controls, automation standards, and testing governance processes across both US-based and India-based delivery teams.
  • Lead testing activities for the India-based SailPoint delivery pod while providing guidance and quality oversight supporting broader IGA initiatives across the enterprise.
  • Partner with Product Owners, Architects, Business Analysts, Developers, Operations teams, and business stakeholders to ensure testing requirements, acceptance criteria, and quality expectations are incorporated throughout the delivery lifecycle.
  • Define and oversee System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), regression testing, end-to-end testing, production validation, and release readiness activities supporting the IGA roadmap.
  • Develop and maintain reusable test plans, test cases, test data strategies, traceability models, and testing procedures supporting scalable and repeatable delivery practices.
  • Lead testing efforts supporting application onboarding, identity lifecycle management, access governance, certification campaigns, role-based access control (RBAC), provisioning processes, integrations, and operational readiness activities.
  • Define and drive the test automation strategy for the IGA service, including development of automated regression testing capabilities and integration of automated testing into CI/CD and release management processes.
  • Define and oversee performance, scalability, volume, endurance, and stress testing activities while establishing performance baselines, capacity planning inputs, and release acceptance criteria for the SailPoint platform.
  • Partner with Architects, Developers, and Operations teams to identify quality risks, performance bottlenecks, integration issues, and opportunities for platform optimization and continuous improvement.
  • Manage defect tracking, prioritization, root cause analysis, retesting activities, and quality metrics to improve platform stability, release quality, and operational effectiveness.
  • Define testing KPIs, automation coverage metrics, quality dashboards, and testing effectiveness reporting to support program governance and leadership visibility.
  • Create and maintain testing standards, quality documentation, operational validation procedures, release readiness checklists, and quality governance artifacts supporting the SailPoint platform.
  • Support audit, compliance, risk, and governance activities through testing evidence, control validation, documentation management, and quality reporting.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality engineering maturity, automation adoption, testing efficiency, performance validation, release reliability, and operational excellence across the IGA service.

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of Quality Assurance, Testing, or Quality Engineering experience.
  • 3+ years of Identity and Access Management (IAM), Identity Governance and Administration (IGA), cybersecurity, or enterprise security testing experience.
  • Experience developing testing strategies, test plans, regression testing frameworks, automation roadmaps, performance testing approaches, and release validation processes for enterprise platforms.
  • Experience supporting SailPoint IdentityIQ, identity lifecycle management, access governance, certification, RBAC, provisioning, integration, and application onboarding initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), regression testing, end-to-end testing, performance testing, defect management, and release validation methodologies.
  • Experience working within Agile delivery models and supporting cross-functional engineering, product, and business teams.
  • Experience with test management tools, defect tracking processes, quality reporting, root cause analysis, quality governance practices, and testing metrics.
  • API Testing, SQL, Test Case Management, Automation Testing, Defect Management, Traceability Management, Performance Testing, Release Validation, Quality Metrics, Reporting.

Technical Skills:

  • Strong experience developing and executing testing strategies supporting SailPoint IdentityIQ solutions including application onboarding, identity lifecycle management (Joiner/Mover/Leaver), provisioning, certifications, access governance, role-based access control (RBAC), integration testing, performance testing, and release validation activities.
  • Experience designing and executing System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), regression testing, performance testing, API testing, end-to-end testing, production validation, defect management, quality reporting, and continuous quality improvement processes within enterprise IAM environments.
  • Preferred experience with SailPoint IdentityIQ, SailPoint ISC/IdentityNow, test automation frameworks, Playwright, Selenium, Zephyr, Jira, CI/CD practices, performance testing tools, Agile delivery methodologies, IAM governance controls, and quality assurance certifications such as ISTQB or equivalent.
