Job Title: European Inventory Analyst

Location: Hybrid, BCA Lisbon with 2-3 days per week in the office

Hours: Monday – Friday

Drive Cross-Border Vehicle Sales Across Europe


At BCA, we're looking for someone with strong analytical skills to be able to monitor at EU level the current inventory of cars on sales in Europe. This person will support the monitoring of inventory performance across European markets and help provide visibility on vehicle stock levels. Working closely with local trading, buying and finance teams, the role will contribute insights, analysis and recommendations to support timely inventory decisions at local level.

The position will help monitor adherence to agreed inventory guidelines and facilitate information sharing and best practices across markets. In partnership with the Head of EU Trading and local finance teams, the role will provide data-driven analysis and recommendations to support inventory management decisions, considering commercial performance and profitability considerations. This person will ensure some recommendations will be made to local and international Buying team to ensure we learn from past transactions and take right decisions on the back of our experiences and learning from the past.



What You'll Be Doing


  • Monitor and analyse inventory performance across European markets, providing visibility on stock levels, ageing and vehicle sales outcomes.
  • Track inventory ageing, stock turn, margin performance and key trading KPIs, identifying risks and opportunities across the portfolio.
  • Support markets in understanding and applying agreed inventory guidelines, highlighting areas where corrective actions may be considered.
  • Partner with local Buying, Trading and Finance teams to provide analysis and recommendations regarding repricing, sales channels and inventory optimisation opportunities
  • Produce regular reporting and performance reviews for senior stakeholders, highlighting inventory trends, financial impacts and recommendations.
  • Support the Head of EU Trading by providing inventory reporting, analysis and insights related to stock risk and working capital performance.
  • Analyse historical buying and sales performance to identify learnings and provide actionable recommendations to local and international buying teams.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives related to inventory reporting, forecasting and stock management processes.
  • Analyse inventory composition and product mix to identify trends, opportunities and areas for further review.




What We're Looking For:


Essential Experience

  • Experience working with large datasets and performance reporting to support business decisions.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders and support decision making stakeholders across multiple countries and function without direct authority.
  • Experience operating in an international and matrix organization.
  • Automotive, remarketing, retail, e-commerce or asset-intensive industry experience is a plus.
  • Previous experience (one year or more) in an analyst-type role would be highly desirable.


Skills & Competencies

  • Good analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with BI and reporting tools.
  • Ability to communicate insights clearly and provide data-driven recommendations to stakeholders at different levels.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
  • Collaborative mindset with a focus on supporting business performance through analytical insight
  • Fluent English required; additional European languages are advantageous.
