Mechanical Engineer

My client is a progressive, design‑led engineering consultancy with a strong presence across Ireland and internationally. Known for delivering high-performance, sustainable building services solutions, they are continuing to grow their Limerick team due to a strong pipeline of commercial, residential, healthcare and mixed‑use projects. This is a senior position within the mechanical design team, offering the opportunity to take full ownership of projects from concept through to completion.

You will:

• Lead mechanical design across a range of high‑spec projects
• Manage project delivery, ensuring quality, programme and commercial targets are met
• Mentor and support junior engineers within the team
• Liaise directly with clients, design teams and stakeholders
• Oversee design outputs including HVAC, LTHW, public health and BMS systems
• Ensure full compliance with Irish building regulations and industry standards

What They’re Looking For

• Degree‑qualified in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services
• 6+ years’ consultancy design experience
• Strong track record delivering full‑cycle mechanical design
• Experience across commercial and/or residential projects
• BIM and energy modelling experience advantageous
• Strong leadership and communication skills
