Job DescriptionSite Engineer Clondalkin, Dublin We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Site Engineer to join our project team in Dublin. The successful candidate will assist in the delivery of civil engineering and construction activities under the direction of the Project Manager and Site Manager. Working closely with the site team and subcontractors, you will play an important role in ensuring that the development is delivered in accordance with the approved designs, programme and required quality standards.

We are looking for an experienced and motivated team player with strong technical skills, attention to detail and a keen commercial awareness who can contribute to the successful delivery of the project. Key Responsibilities The successful candidate will be expected to undertake and assist with the following duties: Monitor and evaluate the quality of subcontractor works to ensure they meet the required standards. Coordinate and manage site drawings, ensuring the latest information is available to the relevant teams.

Carry out accurate setting out and surveying activities for: Subcontractors, including providing gridlines and levels for groundwork and reinforced concrete frame works. Foundations and groundworks. Floor slabs.

Blockwork. Building services. Civil engineering works.

House plots on residential developments, including issuing relevant surveys to solicitors where required. Supervise and monitor groundworks and civil engineering contractors. Supervise and monitor concrete frame contractors, ensuring works are completed in accordance with drawings, specifications and programme requirements.

Apply strong technical knowledge to identify and resolve setting-out, construction and engineering issues on site. Previous reinforced concrete frame experience is desirable, particularly within residential construction and/or a contracting environment. Develop and maintain strong working relationships with subcontractors to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.

Maintain accurate site records, surveys, as-built information and quality assurance documentation. Work closely with the Project Manager and Site Manager to identify potential issues and support the timely resolution of technical and construction-related matters. Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, relevant standards and applicable regulations.

Contribute to the effective coordination of site activities and the successful delivery of project milestones. The Candidate The successful candidate will ideally have: A minimum of 23 years relevant experience in a construction or engineering environment. A Level 8 Engineering qualification or equivalent.

Previous experience in residential construction would be advantageous. Experience in setting out and surveying construction works. Experience working with groundworks, civil engineering and/or reinforced concrete frame contractors.

The ability to achieve demanding programme and quality targets. Strong written and verbal communication skills. A methodical and organised approach, with excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

The ability to build effective working relationships with people at all levels. A collaborative approach and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. Strong self-motivation and the ability to work independently and use initiative.

The ability to coordinate multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously. A strong sense of ownership and accountability, with the ability to take responsibility for completing designated tasks. Good commercial awareness and an understanding of how engineering decisions can impact programme, cost and quality.
