Director of Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC)

Responsibilities:

• Lead and structure the corporate Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) strategy, ensuring that tax and accounting operations are conducted with integrity, transparency, and compliance.
• Define, implement, and lead the corporate GRC strategy, aligned with the organization's strategic planning.
• Ensure regulatory, legal and contractual compliance of operations, with a focus on tax and accounting areas.
• Map, assess and mitigate operational, regulatory and tax risks, ensuring the integrity of critical processes.
• Ensure the independence and autonomy of the governance, risk, and compliance functions, with direct access to senior management and governance bodies.

Professional Experience:

• Solid experience in leadership positions within Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC).
• Experience in implementing or evolving compliance programs, internal controls and risk management.
• Experience liaising with internal and external auditors as well as regulatory bodies.
• In-depth knowledge of global market methodologies, such as COSO (Enterprise Risk Management) and ISO 31000 and ISO 37301 standards.
• Experience with corporate risk management and internal controls.
• Solid understanding of labor, tax and antitrust legislation, as well as data protection laws (such as LGPD and GDPR) and anti-corruption laws.
• Familiarity with technology frameworks (COBIT and ITIL) and security standards (ISO 27001).
• Ability to use BI (Business Intelligence) tools and GRC platforms to monitor risk indicators in real-time.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Law, Business Administration, Economics or related fields.
• Postgraduate degree or MBA in areas such as Compliance, Corporate Governance, Auditing or Risk Management.
• Proficiency in English. Ability to engage and persuade various executive boards to voluntarily adopt ethical and secure practices.
• Emotional stability to lead sensitive internal investigations, handle regulatory inspections and respond to serious incidents if necessary.
