Chartered Accountant – Finance | Lending NBFC

Location: Gurugram

Experience: 3–5 years post-qualification

Qualification: Chartered Accountant (CA)

About the Role

We are looking for a Chartered Accountant with strong experience in finance and accounting within a lending NBFC. The role will be responsible for financial closing, loan book accounting, regulatory reporting, reconciliations, Ind AS compliance, taxation and audit coordination.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage monthly, quarterly and annual financial closing and preparation of financial statements.
  • Handle loan book accounting, including disbursements, collections, interest accruals, overdue and NPA accounting.
  • Perform LMS vs GL and other key financial reconciliations.
  • Prepare and review RBI regulatory returns and reporting within prescribed timelines.
  • Ensure compliance with Ind AS, particularly Ind AS 109 and financial instrument accounting.
  • Manage/review ECL, provisioning, NPA classification and write-offs as per applicable norms.
  • Handle Income Tax, TDS, GST and other tax compliances.
  • Coordinate with Statutory, Internal and Tax Auditors and respond to audit queries.
  • Manage accounting and reconciliation of borrowings, interest costs and lender-related reporting.
  • Prepare MIS, financial analysis and management reports.
  • Monitor regulatory changes and ensure timely implementation of RBI/Ind AS requirements.
  • Drive improvements in finance processes, controls, reconciliations and reporting automation.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders on finance, accounting and regulatory requirements.

Candidate Profile

  • Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) with 3–5 years of post-qualification experience.
  • Lending NBFC experience is mandatory.
  • Strong understanding of loan book accounting and lending-related finance processes.
  • Hands-on experience with NPA accounting, ECL/provisioning and financial instrument accounting.
  • Exposure to RBI regulatory reporting and Ind AS 109.
  • Strong Excel, analytical, accounting and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Candidates from banks, audit firms or non-lending organisations without relevant lending NBFC experience would not be considered.
