Project Accountant

Reporting directly to senior finance leadership, this role offers broad exposure across project accounting, financial reporting, commercial analysis and business partnering.

Description

• Manage end-to-end project accounting across a portfolio of projects and business initiatives
• Oversee revenue recognition, project costing and profitability analysis
• Prepare monthly management accounts, financial reports and variance analysis
• Lead month-end close activities, reconciliations and reporting requirements
• Develop and maintain financial models to support budgeting, forecasting and investment decisions
• Assist with consolidation, statutory reporting and compliance obligations
• Partner with operational and project stakeholders to drive project performance
• Support cash flow forecasting and financial planning activities
• Identify and implement process improvement initiatives across finance operations

Profile

A successful Project Accountant should have:

• CA or CPA qualification
• Previous experience in Project Accounting, Financial Accounting or a related finance role
• Strong understanding of project costing, revenue recognition and financial reporting
• Experience using SAP or a large ERP system
• Advanced Excel skills, including financial analysis and reporting
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
• The ability to work autonomously and thrive in a fast-paced environment
