Job Description
An important multinational company in the industrial and energy sector is looking to hire an HSE Technician (Health, Safety & Environment) to join its Madrid-based operations.
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring compliance with Health, Safety and Environmental regulations, working closely with both local and international teams to implement procedures, continuous improvements and preventive actions.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with Spanish Health, Safety and Environmental legislation.
- Manage and monitor HSE documentation and records.
- Oversee Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) management and tracking.
- Coordinate preventive activities with external contractors and suppliers.
- Prepare HSE reports, KPIs and performance indicators.
- Analyse and manage data using Excel.
- Coordinate occupational health and safety training programmes.
- Provide technical guidance on health and safety regulations, industrial safety standards and legal compliance requirements.
- Collaborate with corporate HSE teams based in Germany to ensure alignment with company policies and procedures.
- Identify workplace risks and propose corrective and preventive actions.
- Support internal and external HSE audits and safety inspections.
Requirements
- Certified Occupational Health & Safety Technician qualification.
- Proven experience in Health & Safety roles within industrial, engineering or technical environments.
- Strong knowledge of Spanish occupational health, safety and environmental regulations.
- Experience in reporting, documentation management and KPI monitoring.
- Ability to provide technical advice on HSE matters and compliance requirements.
- Good command of English, with the ability to communicate regularly with international teams.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Self-driven, proactive and solution-oriented mindset.

- Monday to Friday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
- Summer schedule: 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM
