Bronx Charter School has several openings for Teachers to join our growing charter school community. The ideal candidate is committed to fostering academic excellence, building strong relationships with students and families, and creating an engaging classroom environment where every child can thrive.

Grades and Classes Available:

• General Education: K - 2
• General Education: 3 - 6
• Spanish
• Middle School Math
• Middle School Social Studies
• Special Education, Middle School

The Teacher will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction, maintaining a positive classroom culture, and collaborating with colleagues to support student achievement and social-emotional growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, standards-aligned lessons in core academic subjects.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
• Create a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment.
• Use data-driven instructional practices to monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies.
• Assess student performance through formal and informal evaluations.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with students, families, and staff.
• Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress and classroom activities.
• Participate in grade-level, departmental, and school-wide meetings and professional development.
• Support school initiatives, student activities, and community events.
• Maintain accurate student records and comply with all school policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• New York State Teaching Certification required or in progress.
• Prior elementary classroom teaching experience preferred.
• Strong classroom management and organizational skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Ability to build meaningful relationships with students and families.
• Commitment to educational equity and student success.
• Experience working in an urban school setting is a plus.

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary: $71,000 (Bachelor's Degree), $82,000 (Master's Degree)
