Job Summary:

Our client, a leading manufacturing company, is seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Technician for an initial 3-month contract. This is a hands‑on role focused on maintaining, troubleshooting and improving a range of industrial production equipment to ensure maximum reliability, minimise downtime and support safe manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Carry out preventative, predictive and reactive maintenance on electrical systems and production equipment.
  • Diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical faults on machinery and plant equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair motors, sensors, control panels, wiring and associated electrical components.
  • Support the maintenance of conveyors, pumps, lifts and other industrial equipment.
  • Install, test and commission electrical systems in line with site and safety standards.
  • Maintain maintenance records and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Work closely with production, engineering and maintenance teams to maximise equipment performance.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Electrician, Electrical Maintenance Technician or equivalent trade qualification.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a manufacturing, industrial or production environment.
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills with experience supporting industrial machinery.
  • Experience reading and interpreting electrical schematics and technical drawings.
  • Knowledge of PLC-controlled equipment and industrial automation systems.
  • Familiarity with hydraulics, pneumatics, motors, instrumentation and sensors.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to respond effectively to equipment breakdowns.
