Corporate Accountant

Duration: Permanent (open to temp to perm)

We are currently recruiting for a Corporate Accountant to join a well-established construction business, reporting directly into the Financial Controller.

This is a great opportunity for a few different profiles:

• A Financial Accountant currently in a contract role looking for a permanent opportunity.
• A second mover looking to step into a larger, more complex business, with exposure to larger projects and a broader corporate accounting environment.
• A first mover from Big 4 or mid-tier audit, particularly someone who has experience auditing construction businesses and is looking to make their first move into industry.

The Role

Working closely with the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for:

• Month-end and year-end reporting
• Financial accounting and corporate reporting
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Statutory reporting and compliance
• Supporting the preparation of financial statements
• Working closely with external auditors
• Supporting the wider finance team across accounting and reporting
• Providing financial insights and analysis to the broader business
• Supporting the Financial Controller across key finance initiatives and projects

About You

Experience within construction is highly regarded, but we are particularly interested in candidates with strong technical accounting skills, attention to detail and a genuine interest in developing their career within industry.

This could be a particularly good opportunity for a Big 4 or mid-tier auditor with construction exposure who is ready to make the move into a commercial environment.
