The Company
Our client is an established Irish business operating within the construction and building solutions sector. The business has a strong position in its market and is now introducing a new product range with significant growth potential in Ireland.
The company is investing heavily in developing the new offering and is looking to appoint a commercially driven sales professional to lead the growth of the product within the Irish market.
The Role
This is a Business Development Manager position focused on launching and developing a new product range within the Irish market.
The role will be approximately 90% new business development, with responsibility for identifying target customers, creating a strong pipeline, and developing relationships with installers and trade customers.
The product is an innovative underfloor heating solution designed to provide a simpler and more efficient installation process. The successful candidate will work primarily through plumbers and installers, targeting domestic projects, extensions, new builds, and smaller commercial applications.
The territory will cover Ireland, with approximately 70% of activity focused across Leinster. The role is predominantly field-based, with 3–4 days per week on the road or working from home and approximately one day a week in the office.

- Introducing and promoting the new product range to the Irish market.
- Building a structured pipeline and managing the sales cycle from prospecting through to conversion.
- Developing long-term relationships with key customers.
- Working closely with marketing activity and following up inbound enquiries.
- Creating weekly sales plans and managing a structured call cycle.
- Identifying opportunities to grow the product across residential and smaller commercial markets.
- Working with internal teams and suppliers to develop product knowledge and customer support.
This is an excellent opportunity to join an established Irish business at an exciting stage of growth.
The product range is new to the Irish market, giving the successful candidate genuine scope to build the customer base and establish a strong position within the sector. Significant marketing investment and existing market interest will provide support, while the role itself will have a strong focus on winning new business.
For the right person, this is an opportunity to take ownership of a new market opportunity and play a key role in building a successful product offering from the ground up.

The ideal candidate will have a field sales background and a strong understanding of the sales cycle, with proven experience in new business development.
Experience selling into the plumbing, heating, construction, or wider building products market would be advantageous. A strong network among plumbers and installers would be particularly relevant, although a good construction-focused new business salesperson with the right commercial approach will also be considered.
The right person will be:
- A genuine hunter with a strong new-business mentality.
- Ambitious and motivated by winning new customers.
- Confident building relationships with trade and installer customers.
- Commercially aware and comfortable managing a sales pipeline.
- Organised and capable of planning and managing their own week.
- Proactive, energetic, and comfortable working independently.
- Bright and able to quickly understand a new product and its applications.
- Comfortable working in a developing market and helping build something from the ground up.
The Package
- 5% commission.
- Company car.
- Laptop.
- 22 days’ annual leave.
Location
