Buyer/Project Manager – Experience in Automotive-Related Industries Required

At SD Supply Chain Talent, we are currently looking for a Buyer / Project Manager for one of our clients based in Barcelona, with professional experience in oem/car brands and/or Tier 1 and Tier 2 automotive suppliers.

The position combines purchasing and supplier management with project coordination, working cross-functionally with different areas of the organization and participating in strategic initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Management and negotiation with strategic suppliers.
• Coordination of purchasing activities related to projects.
• Monitoring of projects, milestones, KPIs, and objectives.
• Liaison with internal and external teams.
• Identification and proactive management of risks.
• Follow-up of action plans and resolution of issues.
• Data analysis and preparation of reports.
• Development and continuous improvement of purchasing processes and procedures.
• Participation in building and developing the structure of the department.
• Management of systems, databases, and tracking tools.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in purchasing, with solid experience in supplier negotiation and commercial relationship management, and at least 3 years of experience in automotive manufacturing related companies (oem’s, tier1 or tier2)
• University degree in Engineering, Business Administration and Management, or equivalent.
• B2+ level of English or higher.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables.
