Job Description

  • Company Description

Design POV is a design-led platform where lived spaces, ideas, and perspectives converge to create meaningful experiences. Conceived as an alternative to conventional trade shows, it brings together architecture, interiors, art, fashion, and culture through fully realised spaces, immersive conversations, and thoughtfully curated collaborations.

Created for architects, designers, stylists, artists, brands, design enthusiasts, and homeowners, Design POV is a space where design is experienced, questioned, and actively engaged with. By welcoming multiple points of view, the platform encourages meaningful dialogue, connections, and long-term collaborations that extend beyond commercial transactions.

  • Role Description

Design POV is looking for a well-connected Sales and Business Development professional with direct experience in the architecture, interiors, design, or creative industries.

This is a full-time hybrid role based in Delhi, with some flexibility to work from home. The ideal candidate will already understand the design ecosystem and have strong, established relationships with relevant brands, architects, designers, industry professionals, and other key stakeholders.

We are particularly interested in candidates who have worked in one or more of the following areas:

  • Architecture, interiors, or design-focused events and exhibitions
  • Interior, architecture, design, or lifestyle publications
  • Public relations or communications agencies representing design, décor, luxury, lifestyle, or building-material brands
  • Business development, partnerships, or brand relations within the architecture and design industry

The role involves identifying and securing partnerships, exhibitors, sponsors, and participating brands for Design POV. The individual will use their industry knowledge and existing network to initiate conversations, develop relevant proposals, and convert opportunities into meaningful, long-term partnerships.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Identifying and approaching relevant brands, exhibitors, sponsors, and industry partners
  • Using existing industry relationships to generate qualified opportunities
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with decision-makers across the design ecosystem
  • Developing persuasive sales pitches, partnership proposals, and presentations
  • Understanding each prospective partner’s objectives and creating suitable participation or collaboration opportunities
  • Managing the complete sales pipeline—from initial outreach and meetings to negotiation, closure, and follow-up
  • Working closely with the founders, marketing, programming, and operations teams to ensure partnerships align with the event’s positioning and objectives
  • Staying informed about developments across architecture, interiors, design, luxury, lifestyle, and events
  • Tracking sales activity, maintaining accurate pipeline records, and sharing regular performance reports
  • Contributing ideas to strengthen revenue, brand participation, stakeholder engagement, and the overall event experience
  • Qualifications
  • Relevant professional experience within the architecture, interiors, design, luxury, lifestyle, media, PR, exhibitions, or events ecosystem
  • A strong and active network of brands and decision-makers across the architecture and design industry
  • Demonstrated success in sales, business development, partnerships, sponsorships, account management, brand relations, or client servicing
  • A practical understanding of how design events, exhibitions, sponsorships, and brand collaborations are developed and executed
  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-management skills
  • Ability to translate a brand’s commercial and marketing objectives into meaningful event opportunities
  • Confidence in reaching out to senior stakeholders and nurturing relationships over time
  • Strong market-research and lead-generation capabilities
  • Ability to manage a sales pipeline independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams
  • Comfort working with CRM systems, spreadsheets, presentations, and reporting tools
  • Genuine interest in architecture, interiors, design, and creative culture
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Design, Architecture, or a related field—or equivalent relevant industry experience
  • Preferred Candidate Profile

The right candidate is not simply a general salesperson. They are someone who understands the architecture and design community, knows how brands participate in industry platforms and events, and brings credible relationships within the ecosystem.

  • They may have previously worked with a design event, architecture or interiors publication, industry-focused PR agency, design brand, exhibition organiser, or a similar organisation. Most importantly, they should combine strong commercial instincts with relevant industry connections and a clear understanding of how successful events and brand partnerships work.
