About:
We’re hiring for a global technology powerhouse delivering next-generation digital transformation, data, and cloud solutions to the world's leading enterprises. The company is seeking a business development director as it expands its footprint across the UK and Ireland. This position offers the agility and excitement of a growing UK & Ireland team combined with the stability and resources of a globally recognised leader.
The Role:
- Generate a strong new business pipeline in the BFS sector, developing a UK GTM strategy alongside technology partners (Temenos, Microsoft, Red Hat, Oracle) and strategic account plans to drive growth.
- Own the full sales process end-to-end: prospecting, qualification, proposal, negotiation, closing, and handover to delivery.
- Lead engagement with senior decision-makers, building and nurturing long-term client relationships.
- Work closely with Microsoft and other technology/alliance partners to maximise co-selling opportunities and joint funding programmes, and collaborate internally with pre-sales, solution architects, and delivery teams to shape compelling value propositions.
- Build the company's credibility and reputation in the BFS market through industry events and forums, while maintaining sector knowledge and ensuring accurate forecasting/pipeline reporting.
Candidate Requirements:
- Proven history of exceeding new business targets in enterprise technology/consulting, with clear success opening new accounts and closing multi-million-pound opportunities.
- Deep knowledge of Financial Services/Professional Services sectors, ideally with an established network in these markets.
- Strong experience engaging Senior/Board-level stakeholders, plus working with technology partners, or major systems integrators in the BFS sector.
- A self-starter capable of independently managing multiple complex opportunities.
- University degree in Business, IT, or a related field + Professional sales training qualifications (e.g. Miller Heiman, MEDDIC, SPIN etc.).
- Experience selling Microsoft Dynamics 365, Azure, Power Platform, or enterprise SaaS, with understanding of Microsoft funding models and licensing structures.
