🚀 Senior SAP Logistics Consultant (MM / IM / SM) | SAP S/4HANA Clean Core on RISE Assessment

We are looking for an experienced Senior SAP Logistics Consultant (MM / IM / SM) to join a strategic SAP S/4HANA Clean Core on RISE Assessment engagement for a leading global MedTech organization.

This is an excellent opportunity for a senior consultant with strong assessment and advisory experience to help shape the future-state logistics landscape and contribute to the roadmap for a potential SAP S/4HANA Clean Core and RISE transformation.

Project Overview

The client previously completed a technical migration to SAP S/4HANA, but process standardization, data architecture, and technical debt remediation were not addressed. This assessment aims to evaluate the current landscape and define a fit-to-standard, Clean Core future state.

As the Logistics Functional Consultant, you will lead the assessment activities across:

✅ Procurement (Purchase-to-Invoice)

✅ Materials Management (MM)

✅ Inventory Management (IM)

✅ Service Management (SM)

✅ Future-state process design and transformation recommendations

Key Responsibilities

• Lead AS-IS Review and TO-BE Recommendation workshops with SAP Product Owners and business SMEs across Procurement, Inventory & Warehouse Management, and Service Management.
• Drive L1-L3 process mapping, Fit-Gap analysis, and pain-point identification using outputs from SAP Signavio Process Insights and SAP Readiness Check.
• Assess the impact of existing custom developments (Z-programs, user exits, BAdIs) on Logistics processes and S/4HANA best-practice adoption.
• Collaborate closely with the Technical Architect to evaluate Clean Core readiness and simplification opportunities.
• Produce Fit-Gap documentation, Future-State Process Definitions (L3), and contributions to the Target Architecture Pack.
• Support the development of the Validated Scope Document, Migration Readiness Pack, transformation roadmap, and business case.
• Coordinate with Manufacturing (PP) and Finance teams on end-to-end integration points including inventory valuation, goods receipt/invoice verification, and service order-to-cash processes.

✅ Must-Have Requirements

• 10+ years of hands-on SAP Logistics consulting experience, with strong expertise in MM and IM and ideally Service Management (SM).
• Proven participation in at least one:
• SAP S/4HANA Fit-to-Standard Assessment
• Clean Core Readiness Assessment
• SAP S/4HANA Greenfield or Brownfield implementation
• Strong knowledge of S/4HANA simplification items and best practices impacting Logistics, including:
• Business Partner model
• Batch Management
• MRP Areas
• Inventory and valuation processes
• Experience facilitating workshops with senior stakeholders, SAP Product Owners, and SMEs.
• Demonstrated ability to produce Fit-Gap analyses, process assessments, and recommendation reports.
• Comfortable working in an advisory and assessment-led environment rather than purely configuration-focused engagements.
• Fluent English communication skills.

⭐ Nice to Have

• Experience within Life Sciences, MedTech, or Pharmaceutical environments.
• Familiarity with:
• SAP Signavio Process Insights
• SAP Readiness Check
• Process mining and assessment tools
• Experience with SAP Activate methodology.
• Experience supporting RISE with SAP readiness initiatives.
• Working knowledge of Spanish.

Location Preference

Candidates based in or near Barcelona are strongly preferred.

Language

Fluent English required (spoken and written). Spanish is a plus.

Future Opportunity

This engagement focuses on assessment and strategic recommendations rather than implementation. Depending on project outcomes and client decisions, consultants may have the opportunity to participate in a subsequent multi-year SAP Clean Core / RISE transformation programme.
