Overview

Senior Treasury Technician

Location: Madrid, hybrid work environment. We are currently hiring a Sr. Treasury Technician to join our team in Madrid.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily treasury operations, including bank reconciliation and account balance control.
• Prepare and analyze cash flow forecasts, ensuring the availability of funds necessary for the company's operations.
• Develop and maintain relationships with financial institutions, negotiating favorable terms and managing lines of credit.
• Negotiate with suppliers and clients to secure favorable terms and resolve disputes.
• Oversee the company’s investments, ensuring compliance with investment policies and objectives.
• Implement and maintain treasury policies and procedures to optimize efficiency and internal control.
• Identify and manage financial risks, including foreign exchange and interest rate exposures.
• Prepare financial and treasury reports for senior management, providing analysis and strategic recommendations.
• Collaborate with other departments, such as accounting and finance, to ensure a seamless integration of treasury operations.
• Utilize ERP treasury tools and financial management software.
• Proficient in Excel and ideally familiar with PowerBI for financial data presentation and analysis.

Requirements

• University degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Treasury Technician or similar role.
• Deep understanding of treasury management principles and practices.
• Experience in cash flow management, investments, and banking relationships.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team.
• Familiarity with ERP treasury systems and financial software.
• High level of integrity and attention to detail.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and a good understanding of PowerBI is desirable.
• Fluency in English is required to work in an international environment.
