Job Description
Dolce Isola is the bakery of L.A. Desserts, Inc., the family behind The Ivy and Ivy at the Shore. We're looking for a Cake Concierge — someone who genuinely enjoys people, takes pride in the details, and wants to be part of a brand with a long history in this city.
What you'll do
- Take custom cake orders in person and over the phone, guiding guests through flavors, sizes, and design options
- Assist guests with in-store purchases and make thoughtful recommendations
- Prepare coffee drinks for guests
- Answer incoming calls and place bakery orders
- Close out the register and complete end-of-day duties
- Keep the counter and work area clean, organized, and presentation-ready
- Learn our cake menu inside and out so you can sell it with confidence and clarity
- Represent the Ivy brand in every interaction
Who we're looking for
- Warm, polished, and comfortable talking with guests
- Organized and accurate — custom orders leave no room for guesswork
- Reliable and self-directed during quieter afternoon hours
- Prior café, bakery, or hospitality experience is helpful but not required
A plus
An interest or background in social media. If you're someone who can also shoot and edit short-form video, we'd love to hear about it. Content work is compensated separately from the hourly rate, and we'll structure it around what you're able to take on.
Schedule
Part-time, approximately 3:00 PM – 7:00 PM, Tuesday through Saturday (about 20 hours/week).
