Warehouse Assistant

Promo Gear is a Brisbane based specialist supplier of promotional marketing merchandise, corporate gifts, uniforms, workwear and PPE. We are seeking a Warehouse Assistant to underpin and strengthen our capability and capacity. The successful applicant will be a team player committed to delivering exceptional service to our clients, as well as being self-motivated and results oriented.

Key responsibilities

• Provide support to the Warehouse Co Ordinator to promote a steady flow of work filtering through the warehouse promptly
• Receiving and processing incoming stock
• Debagging stock ready for decoration
• Counting in stock to ensure orders are correct in full
• Identifying discrepancies such as short supply, damaged goods, incorrect picking orders
• Quality Control of stock received by looking for faults and errors
• Picking, packing and filling distribution orders for multiple locations
• Organising any deliveries that require extra handling to help maintaining timely delivery of goods to both the client and decorators
• Checking and categorising rejected orders into "Acceptable", "Marginal" and "Rejected" quantities
• Communicating with the Production team to provide an accurate counts, detailed checks and notes regarding rejected stock requiring replacement

• Strong communication skills both verbal and written
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work at a fast pace, safely and efficiently
• Basic computer skills including data entry
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Physically fit
• Willingness to learn
• Ability to follow direction and process consistently
• Experience or knowledge of the promotional industry or garment manufacturing industry may be an advantage
