The Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a driven, enthusiastic and motivatedfull-timeWarehouse & Delivery 2IC to join our dynamic team, located at our warehouse inO’Connor, Perth, with an immediate start, working Monday-Friday. Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, the successful candidate will support all warehouse functions - including stock movement, order preparation, and assisting the installation team to ensure a seamless end-to-end customer experience.

As a District Warehouse & Delivery 2IC, you will:

Warehouse Operations

  • Assist the Warehouse Manager to coordinate daily activities.
  • Manage container product; unloading, checking off and booking product into the warehouse within 48 hours of arrival.
  • Manage local product; unloading, checking off and booking product into the warehouse within 24 hours of arrival.
  • Carry out product quality inspections in line with District procedures.
  • Assist the Warehouse Manager to organise local, interstate and showroom deliveries to make efficient use of District resources.
  • Assist the Warehouse Manager to organise on-site delivery and installation, helping ensure projects are delivered on time and to budget.
  • Carry out deliveries and collections in the company truck as required.
  • Operate the forklift within the warehouse for unloading and related tasks.
  • Work with the Warehouse Manager to maintain an organised, practical warehouse layout with a high standard of housekeeping.
  • Work with the Warehouse Manager to ensure all plant and equipment is regularly serviced, tested and kept fully operational.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with customers and suppliers.
  • Assist with showroom maintenance and showroom moves as requested by the Showroom team, National Design Manager or Warehouse Manager.

Inventory Management

  • Work with the Warehouse Manager to maintain stock integrity between our ERP system (Options) and physical inventory, through cyclic and annual stock-takes, accurate stock identification, labelling and adherence to stock transfer procedures.
  • Prepare and assemble products for customer orders.
  • Ensure all stock is bagged, boxed and labelled for warehouse storage - no loose, unpackaged stock is to be stored.
  • Ensure product packaging is robust enough for both storage and delivery.

Team Support

  • Provide effective, hands-on support to the Warehouse Manager, and step in to coordinate the team and oversee daily operations in their absence.
  • Ensure all tasks are carried out in accordance with company operating procedures and Work Health & Safety legislation, acting as a safety role model on-site.

You will have:

  • Proven experience in a warehouse supervisory or 2IC-level role, ideally within furniture, logistics or a related industry.
  • Valid Driver's Licence (essential).
  • Forklift ticket (desirable).
  • Working at Heights Licence (desirable).
  • Physical fitness, with experience in the repeated lifting of heavy furniture.
  • Confidence stepping up to coordinate the team and keep operations running smoothly when needed.
  • Strong inventory and stock management skills, with high attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise competing demands.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including liaising confidently with management, customers and suppliers.
  • Proficiency with hand and power tools.
  • Customer delivery experience, with a strong customer-service focus.
  • Sound understanding of workplace safety obligations and a proactive approach to compliance.
  • Must have valid working rights in Australia.
  • Construction White Card.
  • Workstation knowledge is preferable.
