Location: Chennai | Hyderabad | Coimbatore

We are looking for an experienced DB2 DBA (z/OS) to manage and support enterprise-grade database environments. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in DB2 administration, performance tuning, high availability, disaster recovery, and database infrastructure management.

Key Responsibilities:

✅ Install, configure, and maintain DB2 databases on z/OS.

✅ Manage database infrastructure, including instances, partitions, and clusters.

✅ Design and implement High Availability and Disaster Recovery (HADR) solutions, clustering, and replication.

✅ Perform database upgrades, fix packs, patch management, and version migrations.

✅ Monitor database performance and optimize system resources for maximum efficiency.

✅ Manage backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies.

✅ Troubleshoot complex database and system-level issues, performing root cause analysis.

✅ Optimize memory, CPU, I/O, storage, and database configurations.

✅ Collaborate with infrastructure teams for capacity planning and hardware sizing.

✅ Automate DBA activities using scripting tools such as Shell, Python, or Perl.

✅ Implement and maintain database security, including authentication, authorization, and auditing.

✅ Support production environments and participate in on-call support as required.

✅ Maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and best practices.

Required Skills:

• Strong experience with DB2 Database Administration on z/OS
• Expertise in database performance tuning and monitoring
• Experience with backup, recovery, and disaster recovery planning
• Knowledge of HADR, clustering, and replication technologies
• Scripting experience with Shell, Python, or Perl
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Understanding of database security and compliance requirements

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in large enterprise production environments
• Exposure to capacity planning and infrastructure management
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, mission-critical support environment
