About the Opportunity

Our client, a mission-driven non-profit, is seeking a Director of Finance and Administration to join its Senior Leadership Team. Reporting to the Executive Director, youll serve as a trusted strategic partner, helping guide financial sustainability, organizational modernization and the infrastructure needed to support continued growth.

Your Responsibilities

  • Youll lead financial strategy, multi-year planning, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, reserves, investments and capital planning.
  • Youll support the overall health and growth of the organization through timely financial reporting, scenario analysis and strategic recommendations.
  • Youll oversee the Finance and Administration team, including a Finance Manager and accounting staff, while maintaining accountability for financial integrity, payroll and controls.
  • Youll lead enterprise risk, audit, compliance, governance and funder reporting across a largely government-funded environment.
  • Youll partner with Facilities leadership on capital projects, infrastructure planning and financial strategy.
  • Youll champion technology modernization, working with external IT partners to strengthen cybersecurity, cloud infrastructure, Dayforce utilization and organizational systems.

Skills and Qualifications

  • 7+ years of progressive finance leadership experience, ideally within a non-profit, public sector or similar environment.
  • CPA designation or equivalent.
  • Strong experience with budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling, audits, internal controls and Board-level reporting.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead capital planning, funding strategies and complex financial decision-making.
  • Experience overseeing technology and/or digital transformation initiatives.
  • Collaborative leadership skills with the ability to coach teams and partner effectively across Finance, People, Facilities and executive leadership.
