We’re looking for a reliable, hands-on Warehouse Assistant to join our team and support our day-to-day warehouse, manufacturing and dispatch operations. This is a varied role suited to someone who enjoys practical work, takes pride in doing things properly and can work independently without needing constant direction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Picking and packing customer and installer orders accurately
  • Preparing and checking orders prior to dispatch
  • Resin batching and manufacturing in line with documented recipes and quality-control procedures
  • Accurately weighing and measuring raw materials
  • Receiving, processing and bagging bulk stone
  • Labelling and kitting finished products
  • Receiving and checking incoming stock
  • Loading and unloading deliveries
  • Assisting with stocktakes and stock organisation
  • Maintaining a clean, safe and organised warehouse
  • General warehouse and production duties as required

About You

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • A self-starter who can see what needs to be done and get on with it
  • Reliable, punctual and organised
  • Detail-focused, particularly when batching, weighing, labelling and packing materials
  • Comfortable following established processes and QC procedures
  • Happy working both independently and as part of a small team
  • Willing to learn and get involved across different areas of the operation

Previous warehouse, manufacturing or production experience would be beneficial, but attitude, reliability and attention to detail are just as important.

Physical Requirements

This is a hands-on role involving regular manual handling, including lifting and moving materials up to 20kg.

Training & Requirements

  • Full Australian working rights are required
  • Full training will be provided across StoneSet’s warehouse, manufacturing and quality-control procedures
  • Forklift licence is desirable but not essential
  • StoneSet is happy to facilitate obtaining a forklift licence for the right applicant
  • Current driver’s licence advantageous

Employment Structure

The successful candidate will initially be engaged on a casual basis for approximately four weeks while both StoneSet and the employee assesses mutual suitability for the role.

During this period, the employee will be paid the applicable casual hourly rate.

Following a successful initial period, the intention is to offer ongoing full-time employment, with a salary of $60,000–$65,000 + super, subject to a 6-month probationary period.

This is more than just a picking and packing role. You’ll be involved across the process from receiving raw materials and manufacturing products through to preparing finished StoneSet materials for dispatch around Australia.
