Purpose of the Role:
The post holder will support the work of the Cancer Audit Programme, ensuring that it supports the clinical needs of patients and is aligned with the mission, vision and strategic objectives of St James's Hospital and Trinity St James's Cancer Institute (TSJCI).
In addition, the post holder will play a key role in advancing cancer data, analytics and reporting capabilities across TSJCI, supporting the continued development of integrated cancer intelligence infrastructure, performance reporting and data-driven decision making.
A particular focus of this appointment will be to support the cancer data programme and the development of sustainable cancer data assets, dashboards and reporting solutions to underpin clinical care, research, quality improvement and strategic planning.
Required:
- Possession of a relevant third level professional / academic qualification, with relevance to data analytics.
- Minimum of 3 years management experience of healthcare, clinical audit, research or operational data programmes.
- Development and delivery of reporting, analytics or business intelligence solutions.
- Working across multidisciplinary teams and engaging multiple stakeholders.
- Possess sufficient administrative capacity to discharge the functions of the grade.
And
- Experience in healthcare data sources and analysis, preferably in a hospital or clinical setting.
- Data management, Business Intelligence and Reporting/Analytics (e.g.R, Python, Power BI, Tableau, SSRS, KPIs).
- Data Platforms and Technologies (e.g. Microsoft, Fabric, Azure, Power Apps).
- Database and Querying Tools (e.g. SQL, PostgreSQL).
- Managing complex datasets and information systems.
- Report writing, performance reporting and presentation of complex information.
- Project management and delivery of organisational change initiatives.
