A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Housing Litigation Solicitor to join our expanding Housing Disrepair Litigation team. The role has arisen due to continued expansion and unprecedented client demand. This is an ideal opportunity for a motivated solicitor with experience in housing litigation to work in a fast-paced environment and join our ambitious and rapidly growing team.

We are expanding our Housing Claims Department and are looking for a solicitor who has experience handling housing disrepair claims and other related litigation matters, and who is looking for an opportunity to develop their career and take on greater responsibility.



About the Role



As a Housing Litigation Solicitor, you will be responsible for managing a caseload of housing litigation matters from instruction through to resolution. You will work closely with senior management and the wider legal team to meet key performance targets while delivering a high standard of client care.



Responsibilities



  • Act as the main point of contact for a range of clients throughout their claims.
  • Manage a varied caseload of housing disrepair and housing litigation matters.
  • Conduct cases efficiently and in accordance with relevant legal and procedural requirements.
  • Advise clients on their legal position, prospects of success and available remedies.
  • Draft and review legal correspondence, pleadings, statements and other relevant documentation.
  • Liaise with defendants, local authorities, landlords, experts and other relevant parties.
  • Progress claims effectively and ensure that all case milestones and deadlines are met.
  • Experience with the Pro Claim System is desirable but not essential.
  • Provide support and guidance to fellow team members on casework and best practice where required.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records and ensure compliance with internal procedures.
  • Contribute to the continued development and growth of the Housing Claims Department.
  • Meet expected performance, billing, revenue and case progression targets.
  • Provide regular updates and revenue forecasts to senior management.



Qualifications



We are looking for a qualified solicitor with a proven track record in housing litigation, ideally with experience in Housing Disrepair claims.



Required Skills



  • Minimum 2 years' PQE in litigation, preferably with experience in housing litigation or housing disrepair.
  • Strong knowledge of housing disrepair law and civil litigation procedures.
  • Experience managing a caseload from instruction through to settlement or conclusion.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills.
  • A client-focused approach with excellent attention to detail.
  • The ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • A strong commercial and growth mindset.
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
  • Experience with Pro Claim or similar case management systems is desirable.



Preferred Skills



What We Offer



  • Salary: £60,000 –80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
  • Bonus of up to £15,000 per annum, based on billings.
  • Company pension.
