Planning Manager

KTS is exclusively supporting a leading engineering contractor with the appointment of a Regional Planning Manager in Dublin.

This is a senior leadership role for an experienced planning professional who can take ownership of planning standards across a portfolio of complex construction and engineering projects, while developing and leading a team of planners.

The successful candidate will have responsibility for programme governance, portfolio reporting, planning assurance, recovery strategy and ensuring consistent planning standards across multiple projects.

Key responsibilities include:

• Lead the planning function across a regional portfolio of complex projects
• Manage, mentor and quality-check planners
• Review and challenge project programmes, critical paths, sequencing and recovery plans
• Establish consistent standards around WBS, baselines, logic, progress updates and change control
• Consolidate project information into regional forecasts, risk reporting and senior management updates
• Work closely with project, engineering, operations and commercial teams
• Support tender, pre-construction and live-project planning
• Represent planning in senior client and project governance meetings

What we’re looking for:

• Strong construction planning or project controls experience
• Proven experience leading, mentoring or managing planners
• Experience overseeing multiple projects, programmes or a regional portfolio
• Ability to critically review and challenge programme quality
• Experience within data centres, mission-critical, M&E, life sciences, semiconductor or similarly complex engineering environments is highly desirable
• Strong programme assurance, risk and recovery planning capability

Experience in tender planning, contractual programmes, delay analysis, claims support, Power BI, earned value or portfolio reporting would be advantageous.
