Location: Dublin (5 days per week on site)

Duration: 12 month contract

We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Project Planner to join a leading engineering and construction company delivering major pharmaceutical projects in Dublin.

This is an excellent opportunity to work on large-scale, complex life sciences projects, taking ownership of the planning function from pre-construction through to commissioning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the planning function for a project or portfolio of projects.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules covering pre-construction, construction and commissioning phases.
  • Produce progress reports, milestone forecasts and critical path analyses.
  • Audit site progress and ensure schedules accurately reflect project status.
  • Lead planning meetings and liaise with project teams, clients and subcontractors.
  • Prepare tender programmes, resource histograms and cash-loaded schedules.
  • Support weekly workface planning and provide programme data for payment applications.
  • Record delays, analyse disruption and support the preparation of extension of time claims and contractual disputes.
  • Complete contract review reports and ensure the quality and accuracy of all planning documentation.
  • Provide planning expertise, identify programme risks and recommend practical solutions.
  • Support and mentor junior planners where required and provide cover for Planning Manager and Project Planner responsibilities.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Strong experience using Primavera P6.
  • A background in construction planning.
  • At least 5 years' experience working on pharmaceutical projects.
  • A minimum of 3โ€“5 years' experience in a planning role.
  • A thorough understanding of Earned Value Management (EVM).
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • The ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary project team.
