Senior M365 Platform Software Engineer (Developer)

About the Opportunity

Our Federal Government client is seeking two Senior Microsoft 365 Developers to deliver and support enterprise Microsoft 365 capabilities in a complex and highly secure environment.

This is a 12-month initial contract with 2x12 months extension options, based in Canberra. A Negative Vetting 1 security clearance is required.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Design and build SharePoint Online sites, pages, and hub site structures.

Develop SPFx web parts, extensions, and application customisers using React and TypeScript.

Configure content types, managed metadata, term stores, and site columns.

Develop Microsoft Teams applications using Teams Toolkit and Bot Framework SDK.

Build and deploy Teams bots using Azure Bot Service and Microsoft Copilot Studio.

Administer Exchange Online, including mailbox management and mail flow configuration.

Configure Microsoft Purview compliance and governance capabilities.

Deploy and manage Microsoft Syntex solutions.

Develop Microsoft Graph API-based automation and integrations.

Build and maintain PowerShell administration and reporting scripts.

Apply and maintain Essential Eight maturity controls across the M365 environment.

Provide L2/L3 support across the Microsoft 365 platform.

Coach and mentor team members and engage with senior stakeholders.

5+ years' hands-on Microsoft 365 development and administration experience across SharePoint Online, Teams, Exchange Online, and Entra ID.

Strong SharePoint Online development experience, including SPFx (React and TypeScript), content types, term stores, site designs, and PnP provisioning.

Experience developing Microsoft Teams applications using Teams Toolkit, Bot Framework SDK, Adaptive Cards, and messaging extensions.

Expertise across Microsoft Defender, Microsoft Purview, and Microsoft Sentinel.

Experience developing solutions using Microsoft Graph API and associated SDKs.

Strong Entra ID administration experience, including Conditional Access, MFA, PIM, identity governance, and app registrations.

Microsoft certifications such as MS-102, MS-500, or SC-200.

Experience with Microsoft Syntex.

Experience administering Microsoft Viva products.

Azure Functions and Logic Apps experience.

Exposure to Microsoft Copilot Studio and automation technologies.
