Location: Dublin, with travel to Excel Recruitment regional offices as required

Reporting to: Head of HR, Learning & Development

Excel Recruitment is seeking an experienced Internal Trainer to develop and deliver practical training across the Excel Recruitment Group.

The successful candidate will lead training on our recruitment platform, support recruiter development and help create consistent recruitment processes across the business. This role would suit an experienced recruitment professional with a strong background in training, coaching, systems adoption or sales enablement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver classroom, virtual, desk-side and one-to-one training
  • Develop a structured training programme for all staff
  • Create onboarding programmes for new employees
  • Produce training videos, user guides, process maps, checklists and quick-reference materials
  • Ensure employees follow agreed processes, workflows and data standards
  • Monitor system adoption, training completion and common user errors
  • Deliver refresher and remedial training where gaps are identified
  • Work with Operations to communicate system updates and process changes
  • Develop practical recruitment training covering:
  • Candidate sourcing and screening
  • Client and candidate management
  • Shortlisting and offer management
  • Compliance and recruitment best practice
  • Create recruitment playbooks and consistent working standards
  • Deliver desk-side coaching, workshops, call reviews and performance clinics
  • Use system data and manager feedback to identify training needs
  • Support the development of digital learning resources and appropriate AI-enabled tools
  • Report on training completion, adoption, capability gaps and improvements

Requirements

  • Previous experience within the recruitment industry
  • Experience delivering training, coaching or employee development
  • Strong understanding of recruitment processes and sales activity
  • Experience supporting CRM or technology adoption
  • Excellent communication, presentation and facilitation skills
  • Ability to explain complex systems and processes clearly
  • Strong organisational and stakeholder management skills
  • Practical, hands-on and commercially focused approach
  • Ability to travel between company offices when required
  • Experience developing training programmes or learning pathways
  • Knowledge of Access or another recruitment CRM
  • Experience creating videos, online modules or digital learning resources
  • Exposure to AI, call analysis or learning technology
  • Experience using performance data to identify training needs

You will be an engaging and practical trainer who understands the day-to-day challenges of a busy recruitment environment.

You will be comfortable training new starters, coaching experienced recruiters and helping teams improve their use of systems and recruitment processes. You will focus on making training clear, relevant and easy to apply in practice.
