Role Description The Insurance Agent role at Niva Bupa Health Insurance is a remote position focused on supporting individuals and families in selecting suitable health insurance plans. On a day-to-day basis, the Insurance Agent will engage prospective and existing customers, explain product features and benefits, provide personalized policy recommendations, and assist with policy applications and documentation.
The role includes maintaining relationships with customers, responding to inquiries, guiding them through claim-related processes, and ensuring a smooth customer experience across digital and telephonic channels. The Insurance Agent will also track sales activities, meet assigned sales and service targets, and collaborate with internal teams to stay updated on products, regulatory guidelines, and market trends.
Qualifications
- Strong insurance domain skills, including Insurance Sales and Insurance, with the ability to understand and explain health insurance products clearly.
- Experience or familiarity with Insurance Brokerage and Finance, enabling candidates to advise customers on policy options aligned with their financial needs.
- Excellent Customer Service skills, with a focus on empathy, active listening, and timely resolution of customer queries and concerns.
- Proficiency in remote communication tools, digital documentation, and basic computer applications for managing customer interactions and policy records.
- Good verbal and written communication skills in English and local languages as applicable, along with strong negotiation and relationship-building abilities.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage time effectively, and achieve sales and service targets ethically and compliantly.
- Prior experience in insurance or financial services is preferred; a bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field is an advantage but not mandatory.
