Biology Tutor ( IB , IGCSE )

Role Description :

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Biology Tutor for a full-time remote role. The tutor will actively engage students through structured online sessions, deliver concept-driven lessons for international curricula, and support students in achieving strong academic outcomes by developing analytical and critical-thinking skills.

Responsibilities and Duties :

• Deliver live online Biology classes for international curricula (IB / AP / other global boards).
• Explain biological concepts clearly and effectively using real-life examples and case studies.
• Build strong conceptual understanding and analytical skills in students.
• Design and execute customized lesson plans based on individual learning needs.
• Create and share high-quality teaching materials and resources.
• Assign, review, and evaluate homework, tests, and practice exercises.
• Facilitate engaging classroom discussions to encourage participation.
• Provide additional academic support to slow learners when required.
• Maintain strong professional relationships with students and parents.
• Track, document, and report student progress and performance regularly.

Skills Required:

• Proven experience teaching Biology for IB, AP, or other international curricula.
• Strong understanding of the Biology syllabus across multiple levels.
• Ability to simplify complex concepts into easy-to-understand explanations.
• Excellent communication and student-engagement skills.
• Strong written communication with high attention to detail.
• Excellent time-management and organizational skills.
• Minimum 2+ years of teaching experience (formal or informal).
• Comfortable teaching students online.
• Proactive, adaptable, and student-centric approach to teaching.

The tutor must be comfortable teaching Combined Science up to Grade 10 and Biology across all grades and curricula/boards, including IB, AP, IGCSE, A Levels, CBSE, ICSE, and other international curricula.

Timings:

• 8 hours a day between 6:00 AM – 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
• Weekly off can be taken on Tuesday / Wednesday / Thursday
