Job Description

Programmed is currently seeking a motivated and detail oriented Laboratory & Field Technician to support operations within a leading asphalt and infrastructure materials business in Teralba, NSW.

About the Role

Reporting to the Senior Laboratory Technician, you will be responsible for conducting laboratory and field testing, analysing and reporting results, maintaining compliance requirements and supporting quality assurance activities across asphalt production and surfacing operations.

You will play a key role in ensuring testing, reporting and quality systems are maintained to the highest standards while working closely with laboratory, technical and operational teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct laboratory and field testing in accordance with relevant standards and procedures
  • Complete, review and prepare laboratory test reports
  • Maintain test records, registers and laboratory documentation
  • Ensure reports are issued within required QTMR timeframes
  • Monitor and review test results, identifying and escalating non-conformances where required
  • Communicate testing outcomes and quality results with plant operations teams
  • Review aggregate and mix performance data and maintain tracking systems
  • Participate in workplace safety activities
  • Report hazards, incidents, near misses, customer complaints and improvement opportunities

About You

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • Current Driver's Licence
  • Forklift Licence (desirable)

Skills & Experience

  • Laboratory experience within construction materials, asphalt, aggregates or a related industry is desirable not essential
  • Experience within the asphalt industry will be highly regarded
  • Strong computer skills and attention to detail.
