We are seeking a Senior Officer HR Support to be trusted and proactive professional who works closely with others to help build a safe, skilled, accountable and motivated workforce.

They provide reliable and consistent HR support that helps employees have a positive experience at work while contributing to Ambulance Victoria's success.
This position is offered on a part-time basis (16 hours per week, days negotiable) for a fixed term of 12 months to cover a period of parental leave. While WFH/Hybrid options are available, it is essential that the successful applicant maintains a presence at Doncaster in line with our hybrid working model.

About The Role

Reporting to the Senior People Partner, responsibilities of this position include, but not limited to:

  • Provide HR Services across the entire employee lifecycle, assessing needs and implementing appropriate service delivery to ensure initial advice, service and referral is completed efficiently
  • Foster continuous improvement by identifying and applying development within their professional field to local problem solving, and HR policy and process changes
  • Work collaboratively with People & Culture Advisors to assist with various Employee Relations, Remuneration and Payroll enquiries, policies and practices
  • Gather and interpret information from a variety of sources and investigates options for key management action
  • Ensure the appropriate authorisation and documentation processes are followed in relation to a variety of HR processes
  • Maintenance of the Working with Children Check (WWCC) register, ensuring all required staff hold valid and current clearances in accordance with legislative requirements

About You

To be considered for this position you will possess:

  • Tertiary qualification in HR or related field (desirable)
  • Proven experience in a generalist Senior Officer HR position, preferably in the public sector
  • Proven ability to adapt theoretical knowledge of current HR issues across a large, geographically disparate organization
  • A strong working knowledge and application of HR practices, regulations and legislation
  • Highly proficient use of Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel and Outlook
