Salary / Benefits:

• £80,000 - £90,000 (Negotiable dependent on experience)

VANRATH are delighted to be partnered with a technology focused business in Belfast in their recruitment of an Interim Finance Director. This is an interim opportunity that will give the incoming Finance Director the opportunity to join the senior management team of a business who are continuing with exciting growth plans. Initially this role is being recruited on a contract basis, however, there is an opportunity to it to develop into a permanent contract for the successful candidate.

The Interim Finance Director will assume responsibility for the Belfast based finance team, and will have ultimate responsibility for the performance of this function. The urgent nature of this role would result in candidates only being considered on shortened notice periods.

About you:

• Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with 8+ years post-qualification experience
• Proven senior finance leadership within complex, dynamic organisations
• Exceptional stakeholder management and business partnering skills
• Robust experience in financial reporting, controls, and process improvement
• Strong leadership capabilities, with expertise in developing high-performing teams
• Excellent communication skills, capable of translating complex data for diverse audiences

What you'll do:

• Oversee the preparation of accurate management and statutory financial reports
• Provide strategic financial advice and insights to support major business decisions
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
• Manage treasury, cash flow, and working capital to optimise liquidity
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory and tax requirements
• Drive ongoing improvements to financial systems, data quality, and reporting standards
• Lead and develop a talented finance team, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement
