The job description for a Chartered Accountant (CA)

Accounting: Ensure accurate and timely recording of all financial transactions in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

1.     Financial Reporting: Prepare financial statements (Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss Account, Cash Flow Statement) and management reports on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.

2.     Taxation: Comply with tax laws and regulations, file tax returns, and provide tax advice to the organization.

3.     Audit: Coordinate and liaise with internal and external auditors for audits and reviews.

4.     Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts.

5.     Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis, interpret financial data, and prepare financial reports for management.

6.     Compliance: Ensure compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements.

7.     Treasury Management: Manage the organization's cash flows, banking relationships, and investment portfolio.

8.     Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to optimize the efficiency and effectiveness of the accounts department.

9.     Team Management: Lead and mentor a team of accounting professionals.

Qualifications:

·        Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. MBA or CPA preferred.

·        Proven experience in a senior finance role, with a track record of success in financial leadership.

·        Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.

·        Excellent knowledge of financial regulations, accounting principles, and financial management best practices.

·        Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

·        Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office suite.
