Job Description
Location: Dublin, Ireland
Function: Engineering
Reporting to: Engineering & EHS Director
We are seeking an experienced Facility Manager to lead the delivery of world‑class facilities management services across our site.
Key Responsibilities
Facilities & Workplace Services
- Lead the delivery of integrated facilities management services, including: Cleaning Catering Security Grounds maintenance Pest control Building and statutory maintenance services
- Manage outsourced service providers and ensure delivery against contractual obligations and service levels.
- Monitor and improve performance through KPI management, audits and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain a safe, compliant and employee‑focused workplace environment.
- Act as the primary site contact for Global Security and support the ongoing enhancement of site physical security systems.
Asset Management & Strategic Planning
- Develop and maintain lifecycle plans for facility assets and infrastructure.
- Define capital renewal and replacement strategies.
- Support site master planning, workplace strategy and space utilisation initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to improve reliability, compliance, sustainability and operational efficiency.
Stakeholder & Contract Management
- Build strong partnerships with internal stakeholders across the site.
- Collaborate with Global Procurement on supplier selection, tenders and contract renewals.
- Act as the key interface with Global Real Estate, Security, Procurement and Insurance teams.
- Support cross-functional planning and shutdown activities.
People Leadership
- Lead and develop the Facilities team.
- Ensure appropriate resource levels, capability development and succession planning.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability and continuous improvement.
Budget & Compliance Management
- Manage facilities operating budgets and track expenditure against forecasts.
- Deliver cost‑effective solutions while maintaining high standards of service.
- Support CAPEX projects as the facilities subject matter expert.
- Ensure compliance with GMP, EHS and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain facilities documentation, SOPs and change control processes.
About You
Experience You will bring:
- Significant facilities, engineering or maintenance management experience.
- Experience within a pharmaceutical, biotechnology or regulated manufacturing environment.
- Proven people leadership experience.
- Strong contract and supplier management expertise.
- Experience managing service-level agreements (SLAs) and outsourced service providers.
- A track record of driving operational excellence and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, Business Management or a related discipline.
- Professional Facilities Management qualification (e.g. IWFM Level 4+) is desirable.
- Project management and continuous improvement training (Lean, 5S or similar) would be advantageous.
Skills
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
- Budget management and financial planning expertise.
- Knowledge of GMP and EHS requirements within regulated environments.
- Strategic thinking combined with a hands‑on operational approach.
