Senior Structural Designer

Job DescriptionAbout the Company We are seeking an experienced Senior Structural Engineer to join our client-side project management team for high-rise and large-scale building project s. About the Role The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing and managing structural designs, identifying value engineering opportunities, coordinating with design consultants, reviewing contractor submissions, and providing technical solutions during construction. The candidate shall act as the client’s technical representative to ensure that structural designs are safe, practical, cost-effective, and compliant with project requirements, while maintaining control over design consultants and contractors throughout the project life cycle.

Responsi bilities Design Review & Co ordinationReview structural calculations, analysis reports, IFC drawings, and design submissions prepared by design co nsultants.Verify compliance with applicable international codes, Saudi Building Code, project specifications, and industry best practices.Identify over-designed or unnecessary structural elements and recommend optimization measures.Propose and evaluate value engineering (VE) opportunities to improve constructability and reduce project costs without compromising safety o r quality.Challenge and technically assess consultant recommendations where required.Constructi on SupportReview structural shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, and RFIs/TQs submitted by co ntractors.Provide technical guidance and practical engineering solutions for construction-related structur al issues.Evaluate contractor proposals, alternative materials, and temporary work s systems.Review structural modifications resulting from MEP requirements, architectural changes, and site c onditions.Participate in resolving technical issues related to foundations, core walls, shear walls, post-tension slabs, transfer structures, steel structures, and high-rise buildin g systems. Qu alifications Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Structura l Engineering.Minimum 10 years of experience in structura l engineering.Experience working on client-side, PMC, consultant, or developer organizations is preferred.GCC experience is hig hly preferred.Strong understanding of ACI, ASCE, IBC, SBC, AISC, and relevant international des ign standards.Ability to review and validate structural analysis models and design calculations.Proficient in ETABS, SAFE, SAP2000, STAAD Pro, Revit and related struct ural software.Strong knowledge of constructability reviews and valu e engineering.Ability to independently identify design deficiencies and propose practi cal solutions. Required Skills Strong understanding of structural engin eering principles.Proficiency in relevant st ructural software.Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholder s.

Preferred Skills Experience in high-r ise building projects.Knowledge of local building codes and regulations.
