Do you enjoy uncovering issues within complex integrations and ensuring systems communicate reliably and securely?

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in delivering high-quality technology that supports learners across the UK. As a Test Analyst, you'll work closely with developers, business analysts and product teams to ensure integrations, APIs and backend services are reliable, resilient and fit for purpose.

You'll help design, plan and execute testing activities that validate how systems interact across a complex technology landscape. Using tools such as Postman and other testing solutions, you'll verify data flows, identify defects early and provide clear insights into quality and readiness. You'll also play an important role in AQA's transition to modern cloud-based technologies and agile ways of working, helping to ensure seamless integration between new and existing platforms.

In this role, you'll be responsible for:

  • Designing and executing integration, API and end-to-end testing activities to validate system interactions and data flow across multiple platforms
  • Working closely with agile development teams to understand technical solutions, identify risks and ensure quality is built into the delivery process
  • Using tools such as Postman to test APIs, investigate issues and provide clear reporting on testing outcomes, defects and quality risks

You'll thrive in this role if you're a curious and technically minded tester who enjoys understanding how systems connect and interact. You'll bring:

  • Experience testing integrations, APIs or backend services within Agile delivery environments
  • Hands-on experience using API testing tools such as Postman, including creating and executing test scenarios and investigating defects
  • A strong understanding of end-to-end system testing, data validation and integration testing approaches
  • Awareness of non-functional testing considerations, including performance, reliability and security
  • Awareness of AI tools and technologies, and how they can be used to improve test preparation and efficiency
  • Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues and quality risks to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • A proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement, problem-solving and delivering high-quality outcomes

This role offers the chance to make a real impact while developing your skills in a supportive and forward-thinking environment. You'll benefit from:

  • The opportunity to contribute to large-scale technology transformation and modern integration platforms
  • Ongoing development and learning opportunities, including exposure to cloud technologies, APIs and modern testing practices
  • Flexible working arrangements that support a healthy work-life balance
  • A collaborative and inclusive culture, where your ideas and input are valued
  • The chance to work on systems that support learners and education across the UK
