IT Project Manager - Test Manager

About the role

We are looking for an experienced IT Project Manager / Test Manager to lead the delivery of technology projects while ensuring software quality throughout the project lifecycle.

In this role, you will coordinate cross-functional technical teams, manage project planning, risks, budgets, and stakeholder communication, while also overseeing testing activities, including test planning, execution, defect management, and quality assurance.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead IT projects from initiation to successful delivery, ensuring scope, quality, timeline, and budget objectives are achieved.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary technical teams, assigning priorities and monitoring project progress.
• Manage project planning, milestones, risks, issues, dependencies, and mitigation actions.
• Act as the main point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, providing regular project status updates.
• Control project costs, resources, and delivery KPIs.
• Ensure effective communication between business and technical teams.
• Define, develop, and maintain test strategies, test plans, and test suites.
• Create, execute, and review manual test cases while supporting automated testing initiatives.
• Track, prioritize, and manage software defects throughout the development lifecycle.
• Work closely with development teams to ensure quality standards are met before releases.
• Use Azure DevOps (preferred) or similar test management tools to manage testing activities and reporting.
• Promote continuous improvement of project delivery and quality assurance processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience as an IT Project Manager, Technical Project Manager, or similar role.
• Proven experience coordinating technical teams in software development or IT environments.
• Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Kanban and/or Waterfall).
• Experience managing project schedules, budgets, risks, stakeholders, and KPIs.
• Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
• Good technical understanding of IT systems, software development processes, and system integration.
• Experience with software testing and quality assurance processes.
• Knowledge of:
• Basic manual and automated testing.
• Test case creation, execution, and defect tracking.
• Test plans and test suites.
• Test management tools, preferably Azure DevOps.
• Experience working in international and multidisciplinary environments will be considered a plus.
