Registered Nurse

Location: Dundalk, Drogheda, Tallaght or Portlaoise

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Area Support Nurse to support clinical governance, quality, compliance and staff development across community-based services in the East of the country.

Working closely with operational teams, you will provide clinical expertise, oversee governance standards, support complex care, deliver training and contribute to continuous service improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and support clinical governance, quality and compliance across your area.
• Conduct audits, identify risks and support quality improvement initiatives.
• Assist with regulatory inspections and clinical compliance reviews.
• Provide clinical guidance for complex care assessments, risk management and safeguarding.
• Support the investigation and management of incidents, complaints and clinical concerns.
• Deliver induction and mandatory clinical training, including manual handling and epilepsy awareness.
• Identify training needs and support staff development.
• Build effective relationships with healthcare professionals and key stakeholders.
• Contribute to policy development and service improvement projects.

About You

You are a registered nurse with excellent clinical knowledge, strong organisational skills and a passion for delivering high-quality care. You are confident working independently, supporting colleagues and driving continuous improvement.

• Registered General Nurse with active professional registration.
• Minimum three years' experience in an acute clinical setting.
• Strong communication, organisational and IT skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience in community or home care.
• Qualifications in wound care, epilepsy or dementia.
• Train the Trainer and/or Patient Moving & Handling Trainer qualification.
• Experience delivering staff training and supporting clinical governance.
