We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Perioperative Registered Nurse to join our team on a casual basis. In this role, you will provide high-quality patient care across the perioperative setting, working collaboratively with the wider clinical team to support safe and efficient surgical outcomes. Flexible shifts are available, making this an excellent opportunity for nurses seeking casual work within a supportive and dynamic environment.
The Position
- Deliver safe, high-quality patient care across all stages of the perioperative journey.
- Assist in providing efficient care within Anaesthetics, Scrub/Scout, Recovery (PACU), or Day Surgery areas, according to your skills and experience.
- Monitor, assess, and respond to patients’ clinical needs, ensuring optimal outcomes and patient safety.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with hospital policies and professional standards.
- Collaborate effectively with surgeons, anaesthetists, nursing colleagues, and the multidisciplinary team.
- Ensure compliance with infection prevention and control practices, accreditation standards, and workplace health and safety requirements.
- Contribute to a positive team culture and support a patient-centred approach to care.
Requirements
- To succeed you will hold current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse experience and a demonstrated commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care.
- You will demonstrate a minimum of 2 years' experience within a Perioperative speciality.
- You will possess strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Above all, patients will be at the core of everything you do committing to and supporting our Mission and Values.
- All caregivers employed by St John of God Health Care are required to be Influenza in order to fulfil the requirements of the role.

- Casual rate $53.90 to $68.03 inclusive of casual loading plus 12% superannuation
