Job Description
6 Month Daily Rate Contract | Dublin (Hybrid)
Our client, a leading organisation within the utilities and energy sector, is seeking an experienced Business Pricing Analyst to join their Commercial Pricing team on a 6-month contract.
This is an exciting opportunity to work within a fast-paced commercial environment, supporting pricing strategy for business customers across electricity and gas products. The successful candidate will play a key role in analysing pricing data, maintaining pricing models and supporting commercial decision-making.
The Role
As a Business Pricing Analyst, you will support the delivery of accurate, competitive and commercially focused pricing solutions. Working closely with cross-functional stakeholders, you will analyse pricing inputs, maintain pricing models and contribute to the ongoing development of pricing processes and products.
Key Responsibilities
- Support pricing activities across business customer portfolios, including tariff reviews, bespoke pricing and fixed-price products.
- Analyse pricing inputs, market data, competitor pricing and forecast assumptions to support commercial pricing decisions.
- Develop, maintain and enhance pricing models, tools and reporting solutions.
- Work closely with commercial, forecasting, reporting and technology teams to deliver pricing changes and new product initiatives.
- Produce and maintain pricing reports, dashboards and tariff documentation.
- Identify opportunities to improve pricing processes, automation and reporting efficiency.
- Support monthly pricing activities for large commercial customers.
- Contribute to business cases, pricing analysis and continuous process improvement initiatives.
Skills & Experience
The successful candidate will have:
- Strong analytical and numerical skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including modelling and VBA.
- Experience with Power BI reporting and dashboard development.
- Experience working with pricing models, commercial analysis or financial modelling.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail with a proactive approach to problem solving.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced commercial environment.
- Experience within utilities, energy, telecommunications, financial services or another pricing-focused commercial environment.
- Understanding of pricing methodologies, tariff structures or commercial pricing.
- Knowledge of wholesale or retail market pricing.
- Experience supporting pricing strategy or commercial decision-making.
