About the Role

The Techno-Commercial Sales Specialist serves as the vital link between Company's innovative portfolio and the specialized technical requirements of our customers. This role is not just about selling products; it is about understanding complex bioprocessing workflows and delivering science-backed, consultative solutions that drive efficiency in R&D and manufacturing.

This role encompasses a variety of responsibilities aimed at providing technical advisory and commercial excellence while engaging strategically with customers.

Responsibilities

Technical Advisory & Workflow Integration

  • Conduct detailed assessments of customer manufacturing processes, specifically focusing on Upstream, Downstream, and Fill-Finish stages.
  • Act as a solution architect, identifying process bottlenecks (e.g., yield optimization, contamination risks) and positioning Company's technologies to mitigate them.
  • Guide customers through the adoption of innovative and alternate technologies to modernize their existing workflows.

Commercial Excellence & Account Management

  • Own the end-to-end sales cycle: from lead generation and technical presentations to drafting comprehensive techno-commercial proposals.
  • Maintain rigorous follow-ups with end-users, procurement departments, and external stakeholders to ensure high conversion rates.
  • Manage existing accounts by ensuring recurring sales (consumables/spares) while hunting for new project opportunities.

Strategic Customer Engagement

  • Build and nurture long-term relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and decision-makers in the Biopharma, Vaccines and CGT sectors.
  • Deliver high-impact technical demonstrations and seminars tailored to the specific scientific needs of the client.
  • Provide regular market intelligence on competitor activity and emerging trends in the Indian bioprocess landscape.

Qualifications

Technical Competencies

Domain Expertise: Understanding of bioprocessing unit operations, including cell culture/fermentation, Single-Use Technologies (SUT), filtration (TFF/NFF), chromatography techniques, and aseptic liquid handling.

Required Skills

  • Consultative Selling: A proven ability to sell "value and science" rather than just competing on price.
  • Stakeholder Management: Comfortable navigating complex organizational structures, from lab scientists to procurement heads.
  • Analytical Mindset: Proficient in sales forecasting, market mapping, and using CRM tools to track progress.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in the biopharma industry.
  • Familiarity with emerging technologies in bioprocessing.
